Refund and Cancellation Policy

The 30-day trial costs A$300 and ends by itself, so there is nothing to cancel and no further charge. BTD Technology Pty Ltd, ACN 670 507 276 ("BTD") refunds the fee in the cases below.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. These guarantees can apply to a business buying the trial, because the price is under A$100,000.

  • Major failure with a service: you can cancel and receive a refund for the unused part, or compensation for its reduced value.
  • Major failure with goods: you can choose a refund or a replacement.
  • Smaller failure: we will fix it within a reasonable time. If we do not, you can ask for a refund, or have it fixed elsewhere and claim the reasonable cost.
  • Other loss: you may also claim other loss that was reasonably foreseeable.

Clauses 10 and 11 of the Terms of Use explain limits that apply as far as the law allows. Nothing in this policy takes away a right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our set-up promise

If the kit will not run on your computer with AutoCAD LT 2024 or newer, or full AutoCAD, tell us within 14 days of your trial starting. We will try to fix it. If we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, we will refund the full A$300.

When no refund is due

Apart from the cases above, we do not give a refund if:

  • you change your mind or stop using the trial early
  • you do not have a supported AutoCAD licence, as shown before you paid
  • your trial has been suspended for misuse under the Terms of Use, unless the law requires a refund

How to ask for a refund

Email info@btdengineering.org with your company name, the payment date and what went wrong. We aim to reply within 5 business days.

We refund to the card you paid with, through Stripe. Banks usually show it within 5 to 10 business days. When a refund is made, your access ends, and the Terms of Use apply to your data.

Paid access after the trial

Your written quote sets out how to cancel. The Terms of Use say when prepaid fees are refunded pro rata.

If you are not satisfied

You can contact Consumer Affairs Victoria or the consumer protection agency in your state or territory.
